The "Estate" probably objected to it because they didn't get loads of money in royalties for it.  Grrr....

Everyone that has it already will need to hang on to their copy.  Only way to preserve it.  Would be nice to see what the "alternative" will end up being, however.   Can't be as good as the "thriller" routine it had, though.  Bummer.

And on a similar note...

I have been working on my own PvsZ mod - Plants vs. Zombies Easy Mode - that I had intended to keep under wraps until it was completed. It is meant to make the game simpler for younger players by changing how certain Zombie appear and removing certain graphics that impair gameplay (i.e. Gargantuar, fog). I was also planning on implementing the "Thriller" theme in the game when Michael appears as opposed to the "don't sue me" version George put in, but seeing this news now, I think I'll need to make it a stand alone mod (which *hopefully* I won't get in trouble for - the music sample is too short to be infringing on anything and it is an unofficial, fanmade mod anyway, so there *hopefully* shouldn't be any problems).

Sandy, will you help me with my mod once the game's out? I want to get MJ back ASAP and could use some help. And since you already seem to be interested in a MJ mod for PvZ1, maybe... *looks up at SandMan hopefully*
