An Untitled Story

A platform game that's all about exploring, overcoming challenges, and taking down them bosses. One JayIsGames reviewer who's also played Cave Story had the audacity to state that this is the best freeware platformer he's ever played (source).

Storytelling is basically nonexistent at first... but then you collect the secret powerup from Nightwalk, and things start to get interesting.

I'm totally going to play this once I get some time.

EDIT: THIS GAME IS SO FUN. Pretty quirky, which I like. I'm proud of the fact that I only needed help with one thing so far, which was how to interact with the yellow doors and I only needed a hint.

The fact that solved treasure chest puzzles carry over, too, sort of makes up for it.

Man I was so glad when I found that out, the underwater one was tricky. And then I died.

The latest boss I've beaten is the

, and it was pretty obnoxious losing all that health trying to get to him over and over. That path is trickay. I was definitely abusing the "reset to last save point" function so my death count didn't keep going up, instead of just dying intentionally to reset the health I lost along that path.

By the way, about the money saving like that, doesn't that mean that you can beat a boss and reset over and over to get buko crystals? (And does anyone know how to spell buko?)

Haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure the boss will only yield crystals once, just like the treasure chests only yield crystals once.

I beat the game yesterday. Final boss is fun. Now I'm trying a Masterful run and a Difficult run without getting HP ups on the difficult one unless i need to to beat a boss.

Oh yeah, I beat the game two days ago, AND got it the day before i beat it.

On my save that I've beaten the final boss on I have a max HP of 1040, because i have 94 hearts.
